15 Omicron cases reported in Bacolod

The Philippine Genome Center has reported 15 new confirmed cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 from Bacolod City.

Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical, data analysis and management of the Emergency Operations Center, however said all of these patients who swabbed between January 6 to 28 and have fully recovered.

Of the 15 patients six are female and nine male. One of them was a child, four were elderly between the ages of 61 to 67 years old and there were 10 adults between 25 to 57 years old, he said.

Sorongon said four of the reported Omicron cases came from Brgy. Taculing, Banago – 3, Handumanan – 2, Estefania – 2, and one each from Barangays 3, Mansilingan, Tangub and Bata.*
