Policemen arrested 16 drug suspects in separate buy bust operations on December 21, in highly urbanized Bacolod City, E.B. Magalona, and Calatrava in Negros Occidental, which yielded an estimated P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu.
Eleven of the drug suspects were apprehended by the police in Barangay 2, Bacolod City, in operations which led to the confiscation of 188 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.2 million.
In a report, the Bacolod City Police Office reported that the biggest confiscation came from a certain Tamtam, 29, and alias Zel, 48, who were tagged by the police as High Value Individual drug personalities, which yielded about 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000.
The nine other arrested drug suspects were categorized by the police as Street Level Individual drug personalities.
The apprehension of alias Jepoy and alias Kenneth in Brgy. Minapasuk, Calatrava also yielded six grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P40,800, and a caliber .45 pistol with ammunition, according to the police.
Three more drug suspects, identified only through their aliases of Fred, Jocelyn, and Jello, were collared by the police at Hacienda Banilad 1, Barangay Nanca, EB Magalona, yielding about 45 grams of suspected shabu worth P306,000.*
