A total of 18 local government units, including the provincial government of Negros Occidental, were conferred with awards by the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), in their fight against illegal drugs.
The awardees that garnered a high functionality rating during the conduct of its 2021 ADAC Performance Audit and passed the ADAC Awarding Assessment are the provincial government of Negros Occidental, and the cities of Bago, Cadiz, Escalante, Himamaylan, Kabankalan, Sagay, San Carlos, Silay, Sipalay and Victorias.
Also awarded were the municipalities of Cauayan, Hinigaran, Hinobaan, Ilog, Manapla, Murcia, Pulupandan and Don Salvador Benedicto.
The ADAC Awards aims to recognize the local ADACs for their exemplary efforts in the performance of their duties in complementing the anti-illegal drug campaign of the government.
The awarding rites were recently held in Iloilo City.*
