The restiveness of Kanlaon Volcano continues, following two ash emission events recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on Thursday.

The first ash emission lasted almost two hours, starting from 5:30 a.m. to 7:29 a.m., while the second ash spewing event lasted almost 26 minutes, which started from 7:39 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. on the same day.

The events generated grayish plumes that rose up to 600 meters above the crater before drifting west-southwest, as recorded by the IP Camera in Kanlaon Volcano Observatory-Canlaon City, according to PHIVOLCS.

It also recorded 10 volcanic quakes.

Alert Level 2 prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.*
