Two minors were reported yesterday by the police to have drowned in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The two victims, both 10-years-old, drowned while having a swim with three others, in a river in Sitio Nandong, Brgy. Orong, Kabankalan City, on March 18.
Police investigations showed that the victims, who attended a family day, where on their way home on board a rented cargo truck, when they asked the driver to disembark near the river.
It was later found out by the parents of the victims, that they had gone swimming and drowned.
The two victims were reported by the police to be declared dead on arrival at the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City.*
