Two more bodies believed to have been swept away by a flash flood in Bacolod City on Tuesday, were found yesterday.
The body of a man was found beside the river in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod, at about 11:30 a.m. yesterday, and was identified by his partner and sister as Ronie Loresto, 21, of JJ Gonzaga, Bakyas in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, Capt. Eufracio Javines, newly-installed Station 7 chief, said.
Javines said they are still investigating to determine the real cause of Loresto’s death.
The police could not confirm yet if Loresto was, indeed, a victim of the flash flood since he had not been reported missing, Javines said.
He said a certain Rodel Basa discovered a body half buried in the sand and was later identified as that of Loresto by his kin through his tattoo.
Meanwhile, the body of a missing 18-year-old female who was reported to have been carried away by the flash flood in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod, Tuesday, was found in Purok Maabi-abihon in Barangay 35, at about 6 a.m. yesterday.
The victim was identified as Kim Castillo, of Barangay Bata in Bacolod, and temporarily staying in Barangay Vista Alegre, a police report said.
On Wednesday, the body of a man, who was reportedly carried away by a flash flood in Barangay Mansilingan Tuesday, was also found in the waters of Barangay Singcang-Airport in Bacolod.*
