Two students and four other drug suspects were separately arrested by the police in series of buy bust operations on September 13 in Negros Occidental, yielding an estimated P449,000 worth of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves.
About 60 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P408,000 were seized by the police, following the arrest of a suspected drug peddler identified as John Paul Jovero at Purok Lampirong in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.
Jovero, alias Kit, a 37-year-old tricycle driver, was categorized as a High Value Individual drug personality by the Police Station 2 operatives who conducted the buy bust operation.
Two 19-year-old students were also apprehended by the police in another buy bust operation on Wednesday, at Purok Esmeralda in Brgy Poblacion, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The arrest of Errol Lopez and John Claren Bibaoco yielded an estimated 15 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves with a market value of P7,500, marked money of 100, and P555 in cash, among other items.
The apprehension of two other drug suspects identified by the police as Glen Hiceta Quiamco and Arvien Jimena Quiamco at Canetown Subdivision in Brgy. 19-A, Victorias City, also resulted in the confiscation of more or less four grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P27,200 and marked money of P500.
The apprehension also of Nonoy Gemino in Brgy. Poblacion 1 Pontevedra, also yielded an estimated one gram of suspected shabu with a market value of P6,800 and marked money of P500, police said.*
