The newly-designated regional directors of the National Police Commission (Napolcom) and Police Regional Office 6 assumed their respective posts yesterday.
Atty. Jerome Asuga yesterday took over the position as Napolcom regional director for Western Visayas, replacing Atty. Joseph Celis, who served Region 6 for several years.
Celis was transferred to Region 8 in Leyte.
Asuga, who came from Region 10, was formerly assigned in Napolcom – Western Visayas.
PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky was also officially installed yesterday as the regional police director of Western Visayas, by PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda.
Wanky replaced PBrig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, who was designated as chief of the Human Resource and Doctrine Development of the PNP.
Wanky was a former Bacolod City Police Office chief.*
