The Bacolod City government said on Monday that the more than 200 unclaimed fuel subsidies of tricycle drivers may be reallocated to the waiting list of the Department of Social Services and Development (DSWD), should they fail to claim it after the new scheduled payout.
The Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) head Dr. Richelle Verdeprado-Mangga said that 282 tricycle drivers in Bacolod City have yet to claim their P5,000 fuel subsidy.
She disclosed that following the final scheduled payout last Friday, over 300 beneficiaries remained on the list.
The office conducted home payouts for those with valid medical reasons.
Mangga said that the DSWD has not yet released a schedule for a one-day special payout’ for the remaining drivers.
The DSSD continues to urge listed drivers to coordinate with their office to ensure the assistance is utilized before the slots are replaced.
The city has a total of 9,617 beneficiaries for the payout.*
