Security guard killed
BY SHIELA G. GELERA

About five persons stabbed dead a security guard at Bangga Sungi, Circumferential Road in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The fatality was identified as Freddie Morillo Baldelovar, 34, of Silay City in Negros Occidental.

Investigation showed that Baldelovar was attending a birthday party in Barangay Villamonte when one of the suspects, later identified as Jenor Namion, who was not invited, entered the house of the celebrator. A misunderstanding ensued between the two, who were both reportedly under the influence of liquor, that later turned into a commotion, Police Maj. Charles Gever, Police Station 4 head, said yesterday.

They were pacified when Namion left. The celebrantor sent home Baldelovar after the party, but he returned and again met Namion, Gever said.

He said another commotion ensued until Namion allegedly called on some companions, who then chased and attacked Baldelovar with bladed weapon/s.

Gever said Baldelovar succumbed to multiple stab wounds.

Namion was arrested in Purok Sabes, Barangay Villamonte yesterday, while four of his companions are still at large, Gever said, adding that charges for murder are being readied against the suspects.*
