A 22- year-old Tourism Management student from the University of St. La Salle Bacolod was crowned the new Miss Bacolod MassKara during the pageant night at the USLS Coliseum, Bacolod City Monday.

Yvonne Catamco bested 14 other candidates and received P150,000 in cash, also winning other awards such as Ms. Northwest Inn,  Ms. DITO Telecommunity, Ms. Megaworld The Upper East, Ms. AirAsia, and Best in Swimwear.

First runner-up was Tracy Mae Sunio who received P100,000 in cash, while second runner-up was Elli Rose Elola who received P50,000 in cash.

Sunio also won as Ms. Merczi, while Elola was Best in Evening Gown, and the Darling of Social Media.

Marianel Tan, who landed among the top five, won the most number of corporate awards, namely Ms. Phirst Bacolod, Ms. Bingo Plus, Ms. Road Safety Ambassador (MVIC), Ms. Flower Studio, Ms. SM City Bacolod, Ms. Belo Beauty, Tik Tok Queen Award, as well as Best in Talent, Best in Festival Costume, and Best Evening Gown Designer.

Jada Biaxyl Celeste, also in the top five, won Ms. Global Strategic, Ms. Manulife, and Best Festival Costume Designer.

Ms. Congeniality was Cailah Jhane Delarma.

Allona Nejar was Ms. Robinson’s Place Bacolod, and Ms. Photogenic, while Geralyn Joy Basto was Ms. Eastwest Bank, as well as Suzuki’s Choice Award winner, winning a motorcycle.

Senator Raffy Tulfo, Megaworld’s Harold Geronimo, and Lovelyn Segovia were among the members of the panel of judges during the coronation night.

Pageant hosts were Marco Gumabao and Janeena Chan.*
