A total of 221 fugitives have been accounted for by the police in Negros Occidental, including highly urbanized Bacolod City, for the month of September.
Of the arrested wanted persons, 33 were categorized by the police as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs), or those facing heinous cases, while 188 others were categorized as Other Wanted Persons (OWPs), or those involved in minor crimes.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office apprehended a total of 194 fugitives, of which 27 categorized as MWPs, while the 167 others are OWPs.
Meanwhile, the BCPO nabbed 27 fugitives, of which six were categorized as MWPs.
All over Western Visayas, the Police Regional Office 6 reported the arrest of 525 persons, including those apprehended by the NOCPPO and BCPO, of which 113 were classified as MWPs.
PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional police director of Western Visayas, in a statement, lauded those police officers involved in the arrest of the 525 wanted persons.*
