Twenty-seven police personnel in Western Visayas have been infected with Covid-19, bringing to 162 the total active cases in the Philippine National Police organization in the region, as of Aug. 2, a report of the PNP Health Service showed.
The new cases were reported at the Iloilo City Police Office – 17, Iloilo Police Provincial Office – 6, and the Aklan, Antique, Capiz PPOs and National Support Unit, one each.
The PNP Health Service also reported four recoveries from the Aklan PPO. A total of 1,199 confirmed cases were reported at the Police Regional Office 6, with 1,028 recoveries.*
