Negros Occidental logged two additional dengue-related deaths, bringing to 28 the total fatalities from January to September 3 this year, according to a report of the Department of Health-Western Visayas, released on Sept. 9.
Dengue cases in Negros Occidental have reached 4,227, with 104 new cases reported from Aug. 28 to Sept. 3.
On the other hand, dengue-related deaths in Bacolod City have remained at eight, while cases also went up to 709 in the same period.
Negros Occidental remains on top, among provinces and two highly urbanized cities in Western Visayas, recording the highest number of cases at 4,227, followed by Antique – 2,352, Iloilo – 2,304, Iloilo City -859, Bacolod City – 709, Capiz – 600, Aklan – 571 and Guimaras with 234.*
