There are 2,009,564 registered voters in Negros Occidental, including the highly urbanized Bacolod City, for the midterm elections on May next year, according to the Commission on Elections.
Among the six congressional districts, the 3rd district of Negros Occidental has the most number of registered voters at 318,496, followed by 6th district at 311,782, 5th district – 302,714, 1st district – 258,527, 4th district – 248,782, and 212,939 in the 2nd district.
The Comelec also logged 356,814 registered voters in highly urbanized Bacolod City.
Comelec records further indicated that 1,025,698 voters are female, while 983,866 are male.
Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria, however, noted a reduction of registered voters for the 2025 elections.
In the previous synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in 2023, Comelec recorded 2,014,725 voters in the province, which is a reduction of 5,161, compared to the present number of registered voters.*
