Negrenses, particularly in the 2nd district of Negros Occidental, may now avail of services of Alagang Tingog Centers (ATC) for their medical needs, among others.
In tandem with Second District Rep. Alfredo Marañon III, Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez yesterday inaugurated and opened three Alagang Tingog Centers in the cities of Sagay and Cadiz, as well as in Manapla, which are aimed at bringing government services closer to people.
The ATC, a project of the Tingog Party-list,-is a social service-slash-public outreach center.
Romualdez, the wife of Speaker Martin Romualdez, explains that ATC is a one-stop-shop where the people can avail of government services, such as medical treatment, including dialysis, burial, and even transportation assistance, among others.
“They can go to any ATC, with just referrals or receipts. We will help them,” the party-list solon said.
Tingog party-list group has 80 ATCs nationwide.
Stressing that ATCs all over the country are doing well, Romualdez said they are hoping to reach a hundred by year end, with more partners coming in.
We may not able to do it without the support of Speaker Romualdez and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., she added.
Romualdez, who is also a cousin of Fe Marañon, wife of Rep. Alfredo Marañon III, said she is hoping that the ATC may expand in other districts of Negros Occidental, in tandem with other solons in the province.
Coinciding with the inauguration of ATC at the Manapla town hall, Romualdez, assisted by Mayor Manolet Escalante, Rep. Marañon and Undersecretary Terence Calatrava of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, was the distribution of P5,000 cash assistance to 1,000 beneficiaries under the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations program (AICS).
Pulupandan Mayor Miguel Peña, the president of League of Municipalities of the Philippines – Negros Occidental, also joined the series of ATCs inauguration rites.*
