The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office bested five other provincial police offices in Western Visayas in the search for Best Police Provincial Office for 2021, during the awarding rites held yesterday at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.

PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, who was the guest of honor and speaker during the 120th Police Service Anniversary in Iloilo City, led the awarding of plaques of recognition and medals to outstanding police units and individuals in the Western Visayas region.

P/Col. Romy Palgue, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, received the award from PNP chief Eleazar, in behalf of NOCPPO, in the presence also of PBrig. Gen. Rolando Miranda, regional police director of Western Visayas.

Eleazar also conferred Palgue with Medalya ng Kasanayan, in recognition of his outstanding leadership as Negros Occidental police director.

The 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company led by PLt. Col. Jay Malong was also adjudged as the Best Provincial Mobile Force Company in Region 6.

PLt. Abegael Donasco, deputy NOCPPO spokesperson, yesterday said that PSSgt. Maria Filomena Flores, Police Community Relations personnel of the San Carlos City Police Station in Negros Occidental, was also awarded as the Outstanding Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer.*
