Policemen seized on Friday more than P1 million worth of suspected shabu from three arrested drug suspects during a buy bust operation at Purok Lubi in Barangay 3, Bacolod City.
Spearheaded by the BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit under the supervision of PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, the anti-drug operation led to the arrest of three drug suspects identified by the police only through their aliases of Moses, Erica, and Edron, all residents of the place.
The arrest of the three drug suspects yielded an estimated 150 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,020,000, and other drug paraphernalia.
In a statement, BCPO said the arrested suspects who are now locked up in jail, are now facing charges for violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and 26 (Conspiracy to Commit Illegal Drug Trade) under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Three other drug suspects are also locked up in jail following their arrests on December 31 at Purok 6 in Brgy. 1 poblacion, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Their apprehensions also yielded a gram of suspected shabu with a market value of P6,800 and P1,100 in cash, according to a report of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.*
