Three drug suspects fell into police custody on Wednesday, following drug buy-bust operations carried out by the Victorias Component City Police Station at Sitio Bat-us, Barangay 6, in the city.
Arrested were alias Rodell, 36, a laborer and a resident of the area; alias Makoy, 29, a jobless man from Yap Quina Subdivision, Barangay 3; and alias Rady, 38, a student and a businessman from Sitio Pasil, Barangay 6-A.
Victorias Police apprehended the suspects after they handed over one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to the police poseur buyer in exchange for buy-bust money.
During the operation, authorities seized from the suspects’ possessions, more or less 25 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P170,000.
The suspects, who are now under the custody of the Victorias CCPS, will face criminal charges in violation of RA9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
The seized drug items were brought to the Provincial Forensic Unit in Bacolod City for laboratory examination.
BACOLOD
A tricycle driver listed as a street-level drug personality was arrested following a buy-bust operation in Barangay 20, Bacolod City, on Wednesday night, January 21.
Bacolod City Police Office Station 4 identified the suspect as alias ‘Wilfredo,’ 38, a resident of Purok Avocado, Barangay 20.
During the operation, officers recovered 14 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams, with a total value of P81,600.
Also recovered from the suspect were a P500 bill used as marked money and a coin purse.
The suspect is currently detained at the Police Station 4 and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
