Three men were separately found dead in Negros Occidental on September 20 and 21, one of them killed in a shooting incident.

Three unidentified armed men shot and killed Dionie Dada, 43, in Sitio Winaswasan, Brgy, Bandila, Toboso, police said.

Dada, of Sitio Canubgan, Brgy, Bandila, Toboso, was resting at his farm house in Sitio Winaswasan, when the three armed suspects arrived.

The victim was shot several times by the suspects as he was trying to flee, the investigation of the Toboso police said.

Dada succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot, according to the police.

Recovered from the scene of incident by the Toboso police were four spent cartridges of a M16 armalite rifle.

On the same day, a fishpond caretaker identified as Jose Solitario, 70, was also found dead at Sitio Maloloy-on in Brgy. Punao, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Police said that the lifeless body of Solitario was discovered to have been floating in a fishpond.

The police declared the absence of a foul play in his death, adding that Solitario had a history of high blood.

A day earlier, a farmer identified as Rommel Cornel was also reported by the police to have drowned on September 20 in Purok Hilado, Brgy. Taloc, Bago City.

Before the discovery of his lifeless body, Cornel, 39, and his nephew, alias Tamtam, were having a drinking spree, police said.*
