The Land Transportation Office – Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) served three Show Cause Orders on Monday, in relation to a series of gas and run incidents.
The orders were delivered to individuals in the barangays of Sum-ag, Taculing, and 6 in Bacolod City.
Those identified in the orders include the driver at the time of the incidents, the current owners of the vehicle, one of which was operating under a car rental service, and a representative of the deceased registered owner.
According to the agency, the vehicles in question were reportedly involved in fleeing fuel stations without payment in both Barangay Taculing and Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The agency added that these measures are part of a formal process to ensure accountability and that all actions taken will strictly follow existing laws and regulations regarding motor vehicle and driver compliance.*
