Three employees of the Kabankalan City government will lose their jobs after they were tested positive during a random drug testing on July 9.
Mayor Benjie Miranda yesterday said that he decided not to renew the employment status of three job order and casual employees assigned at the City Social Workers and Development Office, who tested positive for use of illegal drugs.
Almost 300 Kabankalan City employees were subjected to random drug testing on July 9.
Miranda said he will not tolerate illegal acts of any Kabankalan City employees, stressing that he already gave them a chance to mend their acts when he became the city mayor.
He also bared his plans to conduct more random drug tests in the future, to ensure a drug free Kabankalan City government.*
