Three minors died on March 27 after the motorcycle they were riding figured in a collision with a passenger bus at Hacienda Elenita in Barangay Burgos, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
One of the victims, Jay-r, 13, was supposed to graduate from elementary education on March 31, according to investigations conducted by the Cadiz City police.
The two other victims, named as Rolly and Kim Jay, are both 17 years old.
Police investigations showed that the motorcycle of the victims overshot after overtaking another motorcycle, and rammed into a passenger bus traveling in the opposite direction, on Friday night.
The victims were neighbors and residents of Brgy. Burgos, Cadiz City.
PLt. Daleen Grace Loreno, Cadiz City deputy police, in an interview with RMN-DYHB, disclosed that the management of the passenger bus will extend burial assistance to the victims’ families.
Both parties are scheduled to meet on March 30, disclosed Jade Marquez, media relations officer of the Vallacar Transit Incorporated (VTI).
As shown in CCTV footage, the motorcycle slammed into the passenger bus, which had just disembarked its passengers, Marquez said.
The driver and the passenger bus were already released by the Cadiz City police.*
