Three more Bacolodnon centenarians each received P100,000 in cash gift from the City Government recently.

They were Aurora Carmona Salapante, Encarnacion Emblotorio, and Pilar Palmares.

Salapante, who turned 100 years old on October 7, 2020, is a resident of Barangay Cabug, Emblotorio, who marked her centenary birthday on July 16, is from Barangay Tangub, while Palmares of Barangay Taculing, turned 100 years old on March 9, 2021, a press release from the city said.

The checks for their cash incentives were handed to them in their homes by personnel of the Department of Social Services and Development.

City Hall staff members, who helped in the distribution of checks, were Marites Era of the Child-Minding Office, assisted by DSSD social workers Rosalyn Rubrico and Jerah Mae Loar, and staff Marilou Tabligan.

Bacoleño centenarians – or those who have reached the age of 100 and above – are entitled to receive P100,000 in cash from the Bacolod City government, as mandated under City Ordinance No. 09-16-789.*
