Three siblings have been arrested by the police on Sunday during a buy bust operation at Rivera Street in Brgy. 3, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The three apprehended siblings, who are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, were identified by the police as Emily Vicente, 43, and her two siblings, Ruel, 30 and Dunn, 28.
PLt. Col. Arnel Solis, regional police spokesperson, disclosed that the arrest of the Vicente siblings yielded about 35 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P238,000.
Solis said that Ruel and Dunn were tagged as High Value Individuals while Emily was a newly identified drug personality in Kabankalan City.
The two Vicente brothers were previously arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165. However, both were later released from jail and resumed their illegal drug activities, he added.
Another buy-bust operation also resulted in the arrest yesterday of a drug suspect identified as Janro dela Torre, in Brgy. Guiljungan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of dela Torre, 25, also yielded about two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600, marked money of P600 and a Rusi Sport KRY motorcycle.
The four arrested suspects are now locked up in jail.*
