Policemen seized more P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu from three siblings, who were arrested on Wednesday in a buy bust operation at Purok Kabugwason in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
The buy bust operation, which was conducted by the BCPO Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, led to the arrest of Eron Montalban, 35, and his two sisters, Ilyn, 26, and Irene, 34, and the recovery of about 200 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,360,000.
The CDEU operatives were assisted by the PNP Maritime Command personnel led by PCapt. Reynaldo Bauden.
Each gram of shabu has a prevailing price of P10,000, according to the BCPO.
Another buy bust operation on Tuesday in Hacienda Najalin, Barangay Nagasi in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, led to the arrest of two more drug suspects, both residents of the place.
The apprehension of the two suspects also yielded two kilos of suspected dried marijuana leaves, P500 in marked money and a digital weighing scale.*
