The total number of dengue related deaths in Bacolod City rose to five after a 3-year-old baby girl from Barangay Mansiligan became the latest victim.
The total reported number of dengue cases in Bacolod City is 279 based on records from the City Health Office as of June 25.
The figure is 179 percent higher than the total number of cases last year, which was 100 with two deaths. The age range of affected individuals is from three months to 86 years old, the report said.
Barangays with the highest number of cases are Tangub with 25 cases, Mansilingan – 22, Estefania and Singcang – 21 each, Sum-ag – 20, Mandalagan – 19, Taculing – 17; Villamonte, Alijis and Handumanan – 15 each; Granada – 14, Cabug – 10 and Banago- 8.*
