Bacolod City launched a pilot simulation of its fast lane for business permit renewals yesterday, aimed to reduce processing times to just 30 minutes for qualified applicants.
The dry run is specifically designed for low-risk businesses and micro, small, and medium enterprises using the eBPLS portal with complete requirements.
Mayor Greg Gasataya said the city government will assess the implementation of the system to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation for all participants.
“We started with low-risk businesses and for those seeking renewals only, and hopefully, the implementation will be smooth sailing,” he said.
The city government will evaluate the pilot results to determine if they can expand the expedited system to include high-risk and larger business categories.*
