Another member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1991 takes over the command of the Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade in Negros Occidental, in the person of Army Col. Ted Dumusmog.
Dumusmog will replace his mistah, Brig. Gen. Orlando Edralin, who is retiring from military service as he reaches the retirement age of 57.
Edralin and his two predecessors, Brig. Gen. Michael Samson, and retired Brig. Gen. Inocencio Pasaporte, as well as Maj. Gen. Marion Sison. 3rd Infantry Division, and Brig. Gen. Leonardo Peña, who was the 302nd Infantry Brigade commander, are members of PMA Class 1991.
Samson, currently the commander of the 301st Infantry Brigade in Panay Island, is slated to occupy a higher position in the coming days, while Peña is now the commander of the 11th Infantry Division in Mindanao.
Prior to his designation as incoming 303rd Infantry Brigade commander, Dumusmog also served as 403rd Infantry Brigade officer-in-charge, 4ID Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, among other key positions in the Philippine Army.
Sison will preside over the 303rd Infantry Brigade change of leadership between Edralin and Dumusmog at Camp Major Nelson Gerona today at Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The 303IB supervises the 79th, 62nd, 94th Infantry Battalions in northern and central Negros, while the 11th, 15th and 47th Infantry Battalions are under the operational control of 302nd Infantry Brigade.
On the other hand, the 301st, 302nd and 303rd Infantry Brigades are under the supervision of 3ID.*
