The Panaad sa Negros festival is now 30 years old.

Describing it as a milestone, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said it has brought Negrenses together in celebration of its heritage, hopes, challenges and victories, as well as a shared identity as a province.

The annual Panaad sa Negros, dubbed as mother of all festivals in the province, is slated April for 13 to 19.

“Let us embrace this opportunity to showcase the best of Negros Occidental and to create lasting memories for the present and future generations”, Lacson said in his speech.

He also lauded the support of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan led by Vice Governor Jose Benito Alonso, the 32 mayors of Negros Occidental, including highly-urbanized Bacolod City, Negros Occidental solons and other stakeholders for their unwavering support and commitment to the success of the 30th Panaad sa Negros festival.

It is our united efforts, shared vision and sincere devotion to service that we will continue to realize the promise of a better Negros Occidental for our fellow Negrenses, Lacson said.

More than a celebration, it will stand as a powerful reminder of what the Panaad sa Negros Festival has achieved for the past 30 years- bringing Negrenses together in shared pride, purpose and vision for brighter future of the province and our people, he further said.

The candidates of the 32 towns and cities of Negros Occidental who are vying for the 2026 Lin-ay sang Negros crown, were presented during an activity held in front of the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City.

Festival director Charina Magallanes-Tan said the Panaad sa Negros festival will highlight inclusivity and expanded activities, as it showcases 30 years of Negrense culture and unity.

For the first time in the history of festival, the lineup for Lin-ay sang Negros was complete, Tan said.*
