Thirty-nine virus-infected personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office received yesterday Covid-19 cash aid from the Philippine National Police.

Col. Romy Palgue, NOCPPO provincial police director, led the distribution of P6,000 in cash aid to each of the 39 personnel at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, who have already recovered from infection, and have reported for duty.

P/Lt. Abegael Donasco, deputy NOCPPO spokesperson, said the cash aid came from the Police Regional Office 6.

As of June 20, a total of 177 NOCPPO personnel have tested positive for Covid-19, with 148 already recovered, while 29 others are still being held at quarantine facilities for treatment and isolation, Donasco said.*
