Three individuals classified as street-level targets were arrested during a police buy-bust operation inside a public cemetery in Sitio Pag-asa, Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, on Sunday morning, March 1.
The suspects, identified by their aliases ‘Lito,’ ‘Marlon,’ and ‘Arkie,’ were apprehended by the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station led by OIC PCPT Joelan Vinson.
Authorities recovered approximately 7 grams of suspected shabu worth around P47,600 after the group allegedly sold a sachet to a poseur-buyer.
The operation took place at around 8:05 a.m., resulting in the immediate confiscation of the illicit substances and the buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, Silay Component City Police Station arrested a 40-year-old fisherman known by the alias ‘Jojo’ during a buy-bust operation at Zone 4, Barangay Mambulac, on Sunday afternoon.
The suspect was apprehended after selling a heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for buy-bust money.
All four suspects are currently in police custody and are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
