The awardees for outstanding performance were PCapt. Rodrigo Martines Jr, head of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office; PCpl. Patrick Aquino, who is also assigned at the PDEU; PCapt. Renette Joy Jumuad and PSSg Meldrid Yaeso, both assigned at the San Jose Police Station in Negros Oriental.

PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO-NIR chief, led the awarding of Medalya ng Kagalingan to the four police personnel, who were commended for their discipline, courage, and integrity.

In a statement, Ibay said their actions not only removed a dangerous individual from the streets, but also reinforced public trust in law enforcement.*
