A 4-year-old boy sustained injuries after he was hit by a passing motorcycle on Tuesday noon along the road of Purok Bandihan, Barangay Salong, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim, identified by the alias “Khyle,” was with his father, “Elmer,” 32, and they were about to cross the road when the victim suddenly ran into the road.
According to the father, his son was able to run away from him since he was unable to hold his son tightly.
As a result, he was hit by a passing tricycle driven by the 65-year-old barangay tanod of the same barangay, given the alias “Vevencio.”
Due to the impact, the victim reportedly fell on the pavement and sustained physical injuries on different parts of his body. The injured victim was immediately brought to Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital for medical treatment.
Police said that the victim was now in stable condition at the hospital.
Further, the driver of the tricycle voluntarily surrendered to Kabankalan CCPS, together with his tricycle for proper disposition.*
