48-hr WV anti-drug ops yield P3.69M in shabu

The two-day anti-drug campaign of the police in Western Visayas led to the arrest of 21 drug suspects and the recovery of P3.69 million worth of suspected shabu.

From 6 a.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, the Police Regional Office 6 reported that four of the 17 arrested drug suspects were classified as High Value Individual drug personalities.

Based on the PRO 6 report, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office has the biggest combined drug haul reaching P3.2 million, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office with P306,000 and the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office with P82,000.

In a statement, P/Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional police director of Western Visayas, vowed to sustain their robust campaign to eradicate illegal drugs as well as to strengthen their collaboration with stakeholders.*
