Almost P200,000 worth of suspected shabu and an unlicensed firearm were recovered by the police in separate anti-drug operations on Tuesday in Negros Occidental.
The raid at the residence of an alias Kuya Ramel on January 28 at Purok Pagi in Barangay Central Tabao, Valladolid, led to the confiscation of about 10 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P68,000, and a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition.
The apprehension of three other drug suspects identified only as Mark, Lor, and Charlie, in two buy bust operations in the barangays of Lantad and Guinhalaran, in Silay City, also yielded an estimated 17 grams of suspected shabu valued at 115,600.
Policemen arrested alias King in another buy bust operation at Purok Baricutot in Barangay Zone 3, Talisay City, which led to the seizure of an estimated two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600.
All the arrested suspects are now locked up in jail, facing charges for violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.*
