Anti-drug operatives arrested five drug suspects and recovered about P455,000 worth of suspected shabu on March 8 in Negros Occidental.
Bulk of suspected shabu, estimated at 55 grams, was recovered by policemen from two drug suspects who were arrested at Sitio Alo in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of three drug suspects, identified through their aliases of Lyndon, 35; and Marvin, 31, of Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City, yielded about P374,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Their companion, an alias Titing, however, managed to escape, according to the Binalbagan police.
Meanwhile, the apprehension of alias Gerome, a 53-year-old construction worker, during a buy bust operation at Sitio Barra in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, also yielded an estimated eight grams of suspected shabu, valued at P54,000.
Two more drug suspects, with aliases of Millan, 60, and Kalbo, a 40-year-old tricycle driver in Valladolid and Cadiz City, respectively, led to the confiscation of about four grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P27,200. All the arrested five suspects are facing charges for violation of RA 9165,known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, according to a report of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.*
