Policemen arrested five suspects in Negros Occidental for having an unlicensed firearm and illegal drugs worth P91,800 in their possession on Sunday.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested inside the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility, in Victorias City, after a sachet of suspected shabu was recovered from her possession while being frisked by jail personnel.
Confiscated from her possession was 0.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at P3,400.
A 34-year-old farmer was nabbed by the police during a raid at his residence in Sitio Bulwang, Barangay Bi-ao, Binalbagan.
The apprehension of an alias Dennis yielded a caliber .38 revolver with five ammunition.
A buy bust operation on Sunday at Purok Panaghiusa in Barangay Tigbao, Calatrava, led to the arrest of a drug suspect identified as alias Elmer, and the recovery of more or less eight grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P54,400.
Five grams of suspected shabu valued at P34,000 were recovered by the police from a call center agent and construction worker during a buy bust operation in Purok II, Barangay Narauis, Hinigaran.
All the arrested five suspects are now locked up in jail.*
