5 PRO-NIR cops get medals

AWARDEES. PLt. Col. Terrence Paul Santa Ana, Victorias City police chief, and PSSg Harnie Polondaya get a Medalya ng Kadakilaan, in recognition of their successful anti-drug operation, which led to the confiscation of almost P1 million worth of shabu in Victorias City, on Sept. 11.*

Five police personnel under supervision of Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) were honored and recognized during the awarding rites held on October 20 at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, in recognition of their outstanding performance and service excellence while performing their respective duties.

PSSg Harnie Polondaya and PLt.Col. Terrence Paul Santa Ana were conferred with Medalya ng Kadakilaan by the PRO-NIR for the successful buy bust operation on September 11 at Yap Quiña Subdivision, Barangay 1 in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, which led to the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) drug personality, and the seizure of about 143.26 grams of suspected shabu valued at P 974,169.36.

Santa Ana is the police chief of the Victorias City Police Station, where Polondaya is also assigned.

A similar medal was received by both PLt. Col.  Antonio Benitez, head of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit, and  PCpl. Lope Logatiman III, for a successful anti-drug operation on June 15 in Purok Magsungay, Brgy. Singcang Airport, Bacolod City, which also led to the apprehension of another HVI drug personality, and the seizure of an estimated 174.6 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,187,429.60.

The Medalya ng Papuri was received by PCol. Eugene Rebadomia, in recognition of his exemplary efficiency and devotion to duty as Chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, PRO NIR, which been adjudged as Rank number 1 in the results of the PNP Wide Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) for the month of August 2025.

PCol. Gilbert Gorero personally conferred the medals and certificates to deserving police officers for their exemplary accomplishments, which was also attended by the regional staff officers and PRO-NIR personnel.*
