BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Vice-Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer reported that about 500 vehicles joined a caravan in support of PDP-Laban vice presidential candidate Sen, Cristopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on November 6 in Negros Occidental.

Ferrer said that the caravan, which he, former Rep. Alfredo Benitez, and House Minority leader Rep. Stephen Joseph Paduano, had organized, was participated in by vehicles from the 2nd and 3rd districts in the north, as well as 4th and 5th districts in the south, as well as those from Bacolod City.

He added that the caravan of support aims to thank Go for his projects that provide medical assistance for the poor, and financial aid to indigent, especially his Malasakit centers and displaced workers in Negros Occidental.

The vehicles, decorated with Bong Go tarpaulins converged at the Panaad Park in Bacolod City, before they dispersed.

Paduano, who endorsed the candidacy of Go, in a statement, said the group of Abang Lingkod partylist he represents “commits to massively campaign towards his election as the Vice President of the country this coming 2022.”

Paduano said he can attest to the fact that Go “didn’t waste any opportunity in his capacities to deliver numerous programs and projects for Bacolodnon and Negrenses, citing  the multimillion hospitalization assistance downloaded to as far as Hinoba-an Hospital in the south and the San Carlos City Hospital in the north, including our regional, provincial and district Hospitals; the numerous infrastracture projects and Malasakit Centers established; the special projects like x-ray machines; and the several social services like the TUPAD program distributed across Bacolod City and the province.

“While some candidates only visit our island during election time, Sen. Go has been our strong and consistent fortress in ensuring public service for Bacolodnons and Negrenses. He added.

His ‘common touch’, listening artistry, and responsive service make him our strong partner as Abang Lingkod Partylist continues to reach more communities, more families to serve,” Paduano pointed out.*
