The P23,723,968.48 in sales recorded at the 30th Panaad sa Negros Festival, within a period of just six days, has broken its own sales records compared to the previous years, from 2023 to 2005, according to a report released by the Negros Occidental provincial government, as of Sunday.
The weeklong Panaad sa Negros Festival is dubbed as the mother of all festivals in the province.
The provincial government attributed the record-breaking sales, despite challenges brought about by fuel crisis due to armed conflict in the Middle East, to the support of the 32 local government units, micro-small and medium enterprises, youth organizations, and all sectors who presented their products to all Negrosanons.
The highest single-day sales was reported on Day 6 (Saturday), with sales reaching P5,647,123, compared to Day 1 sales of P3,385,130 , Day 2 – P2,077,889, Day 3 – P4,360,625, Day 4 – P3,707,728, and Day 5 at P4,545,472.
The Panaad sa Negros festival gathers the 32 cities and municipalities of the province at the Panaad Park and Stadium, with each local government unit showcasing local products, cuisine, tourism draws, and cultural presentations through themed pavilions and trade booths.
As the festival ended Sunday, capped by the concert of the band Parokya ni Edgar, the provincial government expects sales to increase further, with a final report on sales to be released on April 20.
The 2023 Panaad sa Negros 7-day sales was recorded at P23,663,642. 86; year 2024 was at P20,688,551.50; and P16,600,630.70 was logged for 2025.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II hailed the record-breaking success of the 30th Panaad sa Negros, which deserves to be celebrated.
The sales record shows the sustained public support for Panaad sa Negros, which serves both as an economic driver for MSMEs and a cultural platform for Negrense identity, and should be celebrated, Diaz said.*
