Simultaneous antidrug operations of the police in Negros Occidental, including highly urbanized Bacolod City, led to the apprehension of six drug suspects on December 1, and the confiscation of about P200,000 worth of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves.
Nabbed in separate buy bust operations in Brgys. 27, Alijis and 2 in Bacolod City, by Police Stations 2, 4 and 7 operatives were Ana Marie Soquiño, Robert Serillo, Reynold de Guzman and Jayson Miag ao.
The arrest of Soquiño, a 27-year-old vendor, yielded about 15 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P102,000, while eight more grams of illegal drugs with a market value of P54,400 were also recovered by the police from the possession of Serillo.
Police records also showed that the apprehension of De Guzman, alias Tata, and Miag ao also yielded about five grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P34,000.
Two other drug suspects identified by the police as Victor Christopher Azaola and Darryl Cornelio, who were separately nabbed by the police in Pontevedra and Binalbagan, respectively, also yielded 2.31 grams of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves with a market value of P7,320, marked money of P1,100 and P800 n cash.
All the arrested suspects are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.*
