A woman was among the six suspected drug peddlers arrested by the police in a series of buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on July 8 and 9, that yielded about P87,000 worth of illegal drugs.
Geralyn Aguas, 34, alias “Bopay”, tagged by the police as a street level individual, was apprehended yesterday during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Lantad, Silay City, with eight grams of suspected shabu, worth P54,400, P1,000 in marked money, and P231 in cash, the police said.
The arrest of John Ray Amar and Joenel Arcenal by the police Thursday in La Castellana and Manapla, also yielded more than three grams of suspected shabu, worth P25,000, a cellular phone, P530 in cash, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Virny dela Cruz was nabbed in Brgy. Ugtongan, Escalante City, with three sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 in marked money, and P533 in cash, while Vincent Lachica yielded one gram of suspected shabu, worth P6,800, a cellular phone, and P500 in marked money, when he was arrested in Brgy. 3 Poblacion, La Carlota City, a NOCPPO report said.
Five sachets of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, P1,000 in marked money, and P270 in cash were also recovered by the police during the arrest of Francis Collantes, 33, in Brgy. Tinongan, Isabela, Negros Occidental, also on July 8.*
