Policemen have arrested two tricycle drivers and four others, for allegedly peddling suspected shabu, in separate buy bust operations on July 17 and 18, in Negros Occidental.
The buy bust operation of the police on July 18 at Bonifacio Street in Barangay 5, Victorias City, led to the apprehension of two tricycle drivers, who yielded 11 sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money.
Similar buy bust operations resulted in the arrest of two more suspected shabu peddlers, also on Thursday, in Brgys. 2 and Balaring in Silay City, which yielded an estimated 10 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P68,000.
On July 17, the apprehension of a 41-year-old Himamaylan City resident at Crossing Dulong, Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, also led to the confiscation of about 10 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P68,000, and a .45 caliber Taurus pistol with seven ammunition.
An 18-year-old student was also arrested by the police for violation of RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, on Wednesday at Purok Limbo in Brgy. Poblacion, Bago City.
The buy bust operation also yielded more or less two grams of suspected shabu and P200 in marked money.
The six arrested suspects, whose identities were withheld by the police, are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165.*
