A 65-year-old woman and two others were reported to have been killed in separate stabbing incidents on October 17 and 18, in Bacolod City, Isabela and San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, police said.

Digna Bordago, 65, succumbed to a chest injury, after she was stabbed, allegedly by her live-in partner, Fredo Camacho, on Oct. 17, at Sitio Kalubihan in Brgy. Camang Camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental, police said.

Police investigations showed that Bordago was working in a sugarcane field when she was stabbed without any reason at all by Camacho, who was apparently under the influence of liquor.

The suspect remains at large as of press time.

Heated arguments also led to the fatal stabbing of Rovin Vargo Zapanta, 34, also on Oct. 17 at Ylagan Street in Brgy. 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, police said.

The suspect identified as Christian Tamayo Zapanta, of Campo Siete, Brgy. 5, San Carlos City, immediately fled after the stabbing incident.

Rovin figured in heated arguments with Christian, that led to his stabbing at his left armpit. He was declared dead on arrival at the San Carlos District Hospital, police said.

Meanwhile, Erwin Remotique reported to the police that a man was found dead yesterday at Hacienda Carmen in Brgy. Granada, Bacolod City.

The victim had succumbed to stab wounds on his right chest, police said.*
