Seventy-eight personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office who were victims of Typhoon Odette received P4,000 financial assistance each, for damage to their respective homes, on March 21.
PLt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, BCPO spokesperson, yesterday said that the cash aid was released by the PNP, which was coursed through the Police Regional Office 6 Finance Service, and distributed to the recipients on Monday, during the flag raising ceremony.
In response to the financial aid, Gabana said that BCPO personnel thanked the PNP organization for the assistance.
The amount may not pay off the total amount of damage done to their houses but it could help ease the burden in a little way for them, he added.
It also lifts their morale knowing that the organization looks after their welfare in times of calamity and disaster, Gabana further said.*
