Another victim of a shooting incident was reported by the police to have died Friday night at Purok Langis, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.

The victim initially identified as alias Drei, reportedly as a resident of Sitio Mambulok, Bacolod City, was inside a computer game shop when he was shot by an unidentified gunman.

He was the 7th victim of shooting incident this month, according to PLt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of the Bacolod City Police Office.

Gabana said that suspected shabu paraphernalia, locally known as a tooter and lighter were recovered at the crime scene.

But Gabana said he cannot say yet if the shooting incident was related to illegal drugs.

On Thursday night, an alleged drug personality was shot and killed at Lacson Street Extension in Bacolod City.

The victim, identified by the police as Adonis Matulac, 54, succumbed to a gunshot wound in head.

Matulac was on his way home to Brgy. Singcang Airport, Bacolod City on board his driven motorcycle when he was shot by unidentified gunman on board another vehicle, several blocks from the headquarters of the Bacolod City Police Office.

He was the sixth victim of shooting incidents in Bacolod City for the month of June.

Gabana said that they already have a person of interest, whom he refused to identify, pending follow up investigations into the shooting incident.

Based on the initial investigations of Police Station 8, both the victim and the suspect reported to be engaged in the illegal drug trade.

The suspect was also reported to have been a member of a local drug group who supplied illegal drugs to the victim, police investigations further showed.*
