An eight-month old baby in Bacolod City and 28 others were added to the list of new COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental, as of Aug. 12, a report from the Department of Health yesterday said.
The 22 new cases in Negros Occidental brought to 722 the number of cases in the province. Bacolod City recorded seven new cases yesterday, including the eight-month-old baby.
The DOH-Region 6 report also showed that there are 10 recoveries in Bacolod City and one in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
La Carlota City has eight new COVID-19 cases, followed by Silay City – 7, two each in Bago City and EB Magalona, and one each in Valladolid, Binalbagan and Talisay City.
All over Western Visayas, there are 103 new confirmed cases with Iloilo City having the most number of new cases with 47.
Of the 2,409 COVID-19 cases in the region, 1,253 are active cases, with 34 deaths, the DOH report also said.*
