8 NIR cops bemedalled

Eight police commissioned and non-commissioned officers in Negros Island Region were honored and conferred with medals on December 9 at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, for their exceptional contributions to the peace and order campaign.

PLt. Col. Joem Malong, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region, said the awardees were cited for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and integrity they demonstrated in performing their duties.

PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO-NIR regional director, personally conferred the award to the awardees, including PCapt. Angelo Pancratius Cabrera, police chief of Larena Police Station in Siquijor, PCapt. Honey Labaro, Murcia police chief, PSSg Dawn Rey Tingcang, and PCMS Jorge Napilan, who received the Medalya ng Kagalingan for the arrest of two most wanted persons in the region, on September 23 and October 28.

PCapt. John Paul Francisco, head of the of 3rd Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion Negros Island Region, and Pat Clemente D Cabilen Jr. also received medals for the successful implementation of search warrant on November 1 at Purok 5, Guinobatan, Barangay Caningay, Candoni, Negros Occidental, which led to the confiscation of two caliber .45 pistols with ammunition from an arrested suspect.

The Medalya ng Kasanayan and Papuri were also conferred to PMSg Glenphil Bohol, and PCpl. Mark Anthony Saratobias, who despite being off duty, displayed remarkable commitment to public safety by providing crucial support to those in need while putting his own life at risk, by responding to a vehicular crash.*
