The Department of Health reported during the weekend that Negros Occidental and Bacolod City had 83 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths.
The COVID-19 patients who died were described as a 61-year-old male from Silay City and 57-year-old male from Bacolod City.
The new cases in Negros Occidental are in Bago City with 9, Silay City – 6, Cadiz City – 4, Valladolid – 4, Hinigaran – 3, Kabankalan City, Manapla, Cauayan, Binalbagan, La Castellana, La Carlota City and Talisay City -, 2 each, and Hinoba-an, Escalante, San Carlos City, Murcia, Victorias City, Moises Padilla, Ilog, Sagay City, Himamaylan City, Pulupandan, and EB Magalona – 1 each.
Among those who tested COVID-19 positive were children, including babies.
Negros Occidental also had 26 COVID-19 positive patients who recovered and Bacolod City had seven, including two babies, DOH said.
The new recoveries in Negros Occidental are in Cadiz City with 5, Hinigaran – 3, Calatrava – 2, Ilog – 2, and San Carlos, Manapla, Murcia, Talisay City, Bago City, Sipalay City, Himamaylan City, Pontevedra, Cauayan, Kabankalan, Sagay, Victorias and San Enrique – 1 each.*
